NOVA (JAPAN)
Position: Nova Manager (Titled Instructor) for two Tokyo based schools, Funabori and Mizue.
Responsibilities: In addition to those responsibilities of a Nova English Instructor below I :
●Use the Nova computer system to organise the schedules of the above schools, so they are arranged in a way that maximises students’ ability to reserve lessons
●Regularly attend trainers meeting, where we discuss ways to improve the standard of teaching at our Branches
●Organize workshops/meeting based on the needs of the branch
●Conduct training seminars / workshops
●Regularly attend trainers meeting, where we discuss ways to improve the standard of teaching at our Branches
●Complete faxes, mails promptly and accurately
● Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved, through leading by example
●Acted as a mediator between Japanese staff and English Instructors
●Gave instructors both positive and negative feedback, which has been relayed from students’ comments
●Observe teachers lessons, then conduct a follow-up session. In this session the instructors weak and strong points are discussed. The findings of these observations determine whether or not an instructor receives a new contract with Nova.

Position: English instructor
Responsibilities:
●Teach students of all ages ways to improve their conversation ability, grammar, listening, pronunciation and fluency in English
●Teach exciting and interactive children’s classes
●Teach TOEIC and Business classes
●Coordinate natural and interesting conversation with up to 20 people in a “voice room”
●Select appropriate lessons for the student’s needs and wants
●Evaluate student’s strong and weak points, keep records and monitor their progress
●Give demonstration lessons to potential students, to entice them join the Nova program
●Give students advice regarding the best way for them to improve their English speaking ability
