International Hanami Party in Yotsuya!

With hanami just around the corner, the time has come again to celebrate that age old Japanese tradition of cherry blossom viewing.

It is a great time where friends get together in parks under cherry trees to relax while appreciating the beauty of the sakura blossoms and enjoy the beginning of drinking, singing, talking, playing games and having a great time.

Date & time:

Sunday April 4th 10:00AM-3:00PM
* if it rains the party will be postponed to Sunday April 11th.

Venue:

The park is famous for great sakura just above JR/Subway Yotsuya station.
You can't miss it, but if you get lost, please ask for directions to the park opposite Jochi University or call 090-3963-3023 / 080-6538-8109.(Access / Map)

Joining fee:

1,000yen
We will provide sake(nihonshu), wine and various snacks. Please bring your own favorite drinks & lunch box. We will provide paper cups, but for ecological reasons, you are welcome to bring your own.

We will also have some socializing fun games like 'Find someone who...'.

This will be a great time for all even if you come by yourself. You will have a chance to win some small prizes if you participate in the games! If you would like to join the game, please bring your own pen or pencil.

Let's enjoy country music and Okinawa Sanshin

If you can play the acoustic guitar or Okinawa-sanshin (we will bring these instruments there), you are very welcome to contribute a song or two.

Feel free to bring your friends! It's going to be tons of fun. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Direction

Take the Akasaka entrance at JR Yotsuya station or Exit 1 from Yotsuya　subway (Marunouchi/ Namboku line)

Walk straight for about 30 meters along the path. When you reach the main road, turn right.

Walk along the side walk to the traffic light. At the traffic light, turn right.

Shortly after, you will see a staircase on the right going up towards a park.

Go up the staircase

There is a park at the top of the stairs. Walk straight for about 150 meters along the path.

Look out for this red prize box, this lantern and the 'Teacher-Student' sign on the sakura tree above. If you have any difficulties finding the place, please call at 090-3963-3023 or 080-6538-8109.

If you exit from the Kojimachi entrance at JR Yotsuya station,
turn right. Go up the escalator and then turn right. Cross the road, there is a staircase on the right going up towards a park.
