To our dearest friends, the people of Japan. My name is Darryl and I am originally from Hawaii. I have lived in Japan for over 15 years so Japan is also my home. Together, we need to be strong and help each other during these difficult times. We should also do our best to spread words of encouragement and share heartwarming stories that will lift everyone’s spirits. With a collective effort, we can rebuild this country, our hopes, and our dreams.
On a personal note, emails and phone calls from friends and family have poured in to show support. My friend’s daughter’s elementary school from a small town in Arizona has collected toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and other items for the people of the Tohoku area. My best friend’s church in Hawaii collected over $16,000 in two days from their members. Musical artists in Hawaii also gathered for a benefit concert which could be seen live on the web. Special T-shirts were printed and sold with the proceeds going towards the relief effort. And according to my mother, the donations are still coming in. These are just a few examples of goodwill and support that is happening in Hawaii and from other parts of the globe. The “World Is With You”. Ganbarre Nippon!

just-in-time delivery systems, etc.
All these achievements are merely　recent manifestations of the determination, perseverance, and stoicismof the Japanese soul.
These qualities are once again being put to the　test, as they have been in previous generations.
There is no doubt　that in these trying times- as they have before - the Japanese people　will prevail.
People around the world are praying for and eager to　support Japan in her hour of need, remembering how much Japan has done
for them. More importantly, they are looking up to Japan as an
inspiration of how they should handle themselves in dealing with theirown tribulations.
So, when the world says "Ganbare Nippon!", it is
actually saying "Japan, show us the way!"

Difficult times can befall any of us no matter where we live in the
world. When these difficult times come we sometimes don't know what to do, so we try to carry on with our daily lives while trying to
maintain some semblance of calm in the midst of chaos all around us.
These are the times when the human will is tested even almost to the breaking point. We here at TS want to encourage you to carry on in the midst of uncertainty. This is the time to strive even harder towards your personal goals and dreams. Don't give up on English. Let's pick up all the pieces and move on towards that higher purpose.....together!

I am from California and have experienced earthquakes before, so I was not afraid of the March 11th quake. But that quake was so very long.
The Tsunami was like a nightmare.

Because of your great loss I appreciate more the small place were I live in Zushi, a glass of water, a bath, hot soup. I am sorry that you are living in such poor conditions now. I pray daily in my home and also with the people here in Zushi for your recovery. We never forget you and your needs. We have many fund raising activities, when we sing we dedicate the songs to you. The disaster on 11th March caused alot of damages and lives but everyone in the world can see that Japanese are very unselfish and united. This is something most country won’t be able to achieve. Japanese are working hand in hand to survive this ordeal and I'm sure the hardwork and effort will be paid off.

nuclear incident was a grim reminder of the devastating power of Mother

It was so terrible to experience another devastating earthquake. I was here in 1995 when the earthquake hit Kobe. I saw with my own eyes all the destroyed houses and helped a little to clear up as so many people had to leave their broken homes. Slowly but surely Kobe was rebuilt and now it is a great place. Tohoku will do the same, it will take so long but slowly with everyone working together Tohoku will recover and become stronger.

Dear Everyone,
Since March 11 many people, children, their pets, retirees, office businesses,fishermen, farmers, and livestock, have suffered hardships due to Japan's record-breaking earthquake and tidal wave,and post-earthquake aftershocks.

Added to this sad situation is the danger from the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. a man-made disaster also affecting the lives of two-legged and four-legged creatures, as well as our friends who live in the sea.

Foreign countries have sent aid, as Japan has sent aid to them when they suffered hurricanes, earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters.

These same countries have remarked on the Japanese people's wonderful "gamman"and "ganbarre" spirit: though hungry, cold and desperate, there was cooperation among people. I feel blessed to live in such a country, with such people.

The devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan last March 11 taught me a
lot of things about how people are and how they react to events.

As a foreigner in this country, i have to say that i was truly amazed at how the Japanese people behaved during those times; their calm and serenity as they fall in long lines in the groceries, their assuring comments about praying for a better
situation, and their ability to work hard to rebuild what was destroyed.

These and many other positive attitude i witnessed among the Japanese gave me a sense of peace during those times when almost all the other foreigners including my friends flew out of Tokyo/Japan right away.

Perhaps, there is no need for me to say `Ganbare Nippon` because I believe that this country will soon recover and
gain back what was lost in the tragedy.
Nevertheless, i join everyone in praying for the situation in Japan to become better each day, for those affected by the
calamity to rise gracefully from their ordeal and for eternal peace for those who perished.

I love Japanese sports, culture and history and have been in Japan for 4
years.

Canada has many natural disasters, many people die from cold weather.
Canada also had a similar case as Fukushima! We should never forget that we
are often lucky,

Whenever Japan has been struck by immense tragedy the country has always　come back stronger than before. This is already proving to be true with the March 11th earthquake and tsunami.

The handling of the disaster has already become a model example around the world. The damage from the disaster was much more severe than most of the recent natural disasters around the world,
yet there was virtually no human made disaster; no looting, no rioting, just survivors cooperating with each other and determined to rebuild.
Add to that the efficiency and effectiveness of the relief effort, much of it from ordinary citizens. Japan is rebuilding stronger than before, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
